Best known for his single “Day ‘n’ Nite” which reached the top five of the Billboard Hot 100 and Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Song charts in 2009. “Day ‘n’ Nite” is part of Cudi’s debut album Man on the Moon: The End of Day. Something for everyone
Ocean Beach MainStreet Association presents the 32nd Annual Ocean Beach Street Fair and Chili Cook-off Festival. A celebrated and eagerly anticipated yearly community tradition, this free festival will entertain more than 70,000 visitors throughout the day.
Vendor booths full of colorful merchandise will line all three blocks and the side streets and five stages of continuous music provide a tune for every ear. Artists’ Alley will host unique handmade creations by talented artisans and don’t forget the Chili Cook-Off from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the foot of Newport Avenue.

Explore the art of mummification
The San Diego Museum of Man presents Modern Day Mummy: The Art and Science of Mummification, which focuses on the fascinating subject of mummification. The highlight of the exhibit will be “Mumab,” a modern day mummy preserved from the cadaver of a 70-year-old Baltimore man who donated his body to science in the mid-1990s.

Anthology presents jazz vocalist Rene Marie. A child of the civil rights era, Marie grew up in the segregated south, where both of her teacher parents were activists.
