New LGBT youth center in Chula Vista hosts Open House

A new drop-in center for LGBT youth has opened in Chula Vista.

Called Our Safe Place the center is for LGBTQ youth up to age 21 at South Bay Community Services, Trolley Trestle Teen Center. “Our Safe Place” will provide participant-driven supportive services and on-site clinical services to meet LGBTQ youths’ social, emotional, health and behavioral needs with comprehensive and evolving services in a welcoming and inclusive space. Our Safe Place staff will provide guidance and life planning support to youth identifying as LGBTQ as well as provide community outreach, crisis intervention and other relevant services to LGBTQ youth and their families.

Open House Oct. 26 4 – 6 p.m.
