SAN DIEGO, Calif. – Last weekend’s San Diego Pride parade and festival had a huge beneficial impact on the city’s economy according to one of its many sponsors, local Southern California law firm Claery and Hammond, LLP.

According to the law firm, San Diego Pride, created the largest several-day philanthropic economic event in the city’s history.  “It is estimated that the 2017 Pride events propelled the city’s local economy to record-breaking high levels, even exceeding San Diego’s epic Comic-Con event,” the law firm stated in a press release.

“Early estimates suggest that the event brought in $11 million in revenue to the city’s businesses, and that the event fostered more than $95,000 in additional sales tax revenue.  San Diego Pride’s board is calling this year’s event a monumental success.  Although the San Diego Pride celebration has come and gone, its impact on the local economy, as well as the impact on the organization’s philanthropic causes, will continue to be present.” ride
