SAN DIEGO, Calif. – The Warwick Hillcrest, new luxury apartment units located at 606 Washington Street and owned and operated by San Diego real estate investment group SENTRE, dba Warwick Hillcrest, LLC., will begin first move-ins on Saturday, July 1, 2017 following six months of renovations. This initial round of move-ins will invite tenants to live atop The Warwick’s fourth floor Penthouse Level, and marks The Warwick’s debut as one of Hillcrest’s newest, most upscale multi-family properties.
Under construction since January 2017, The Warwick has been designed to provide Hillcrest residents with a boutique living experience that blends modern amenities with vintage flair. SENTRE has invested extensively in the common areas including a reimagined indoor-outdoor social lounge, a resort-style pool and sun deck with cabanas, BBQ grills and fire pit, and an onsite fitness center featuring state of the art Peloton bikes. Among The Warwick’s many amenities, residents will enjoy a package and laundry concierge, complimentary bicycle storage and rentals and a gourmet coffee bar. The community has also partnered with providers Cox, AT&T and WebPass (from Google Fiber) to provide up to Gigabit speed internet service to residents and property-wide WiFi, making it one of the first truly “smart” communities in San Diego.
The Warwick’s 80 lavishly-appointed units include studio and one-bedroom apartments offering up to 772 square feet. Units have been finished with hardwood-style plank flooring, quartz countertops with subway tile backsplashes, stainless steel appliances, expansive private terraces, dual pane windows, USB enabled electrical outlets and state of the art LATCH door locks which can sync with the resident’s smart phone to eliminate the need for a door key.
Located at the crossroads of Hillcrest’s major axes, The Warwick lies mere steps from Hillcrest’s renowned social scene, eclectic restaurants and bars, boutiques, major grocers and Balboa Park. Its central location provides quick access to such areas as Downtown San Diego, Mission Valley and the San Diego International Airport.
“We are proud to partner with the Hillcrest community to bring a new resort inspired, elevated living experience to the neighborhood,” said Doug Arthur, SENTRE President and CEO.
Originally built in 1986 as an apartment community, the property has operated as the Sommerset Suites Hotel for the past twenty years. SENTRE purchased the property in January 2017 with the intent of converting it into luxury apartments that would closely connect residents to their community.
