NAVAL AIR STATION NORTH ISLAND, Calif. – Fleet Readiness Center Southwest (FRCSW), located at Naval Air Station North Island San Diego (NASNI), and Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR), located in Patuxent River Maryland, are hosting an LGBTQ+A Pride event. The NASNI celebration will take place on 22 June 2017 from 10:00-12:00 in the Commander Naval Air Forces (CNAF) Auditorium at NASNI.
The Master of Ceremonies for the 2 hour event is San Diego’s own Kristy Salazar (Equality News Network) and the event will feature six panelists from the LGBTQ+ community and community allies.
Speakers include Brigadier General David Brahms, USMC (Ret.); Nicole Murray-Ramirez, chair of the San Diego Human Rights Commission; CPO E. Giulian Jacobs, USN (Retired); Tracy Elbers; Jody Taylor, equality advocate; and Corporal Evelyn Thomas, USMC veteran, teacher, equality activist and minister.
The event is open to all personnel with access to NASNI.
