SAN DIEGO, Calif. – The National Women’s Political Caucus of San Diego is holding its “Ready to Run” training event this Saturday, June 24, at Thomas Jefferson School of Law, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. It is free to attend and food is provided.
Congresswoman Susan Davis and other elected officials and campaign staff will explain what it’s like to run for office. This event will train potential candidates and those interested in working or volunteering on campaigns.

United States Congresswoman Susan Davis, California State Senator Toni Atkins, Assemblymember Lori Saldana, San Diego City Attorney Mara Elliott, and San Diego City Councilmember Barbara Bry will explain what it’s like to run for office and what it takes to run a successful campaign. Delaine Eastin, candidate for California Governor, will also discuss her political career and candidacy.
For those interested in running or volunteering on a campaign, hear from campaign organizers: campaign treasurer Stephanie Sanchez, campaign consultant Eva Posner, Public Relations consultant Tatiana Matta, public speaking coach Jenni Prisk, and fundraiser Eva Facundo.
The National Women’s Political Caucus (NWPC) is a multi-partisan grassroots organization dedicated to increasing women’s participation in the political process. NWPC recruits, trains, and elects pro-choice women candidates for elected and appointed office. NWPC San Diego Steering Committee members leading this event include Mara Elliott, Christina Prejean, Susan Bisom-Rapp, Ally Keegan, Yahairah Aristy, Alyssa Williams, and Jenni Prisk.
