Mon Laferte
Monserrat Bustamante Laferte, better known as Mon Laferte, was born in Vina del Mar, Chile. Her melancholy music, particular wrenching voice and presentations full of energy and power have now positioned her as one of the most viral artists on digital platforms and has also managed to give her a large number of followers. Jahja Ling’s Finale
On this historic Season Finale weekend, Jahja Ling’s outstanding 13 years of service as the San Diego Symphony’s music director comes to a magnificent end. For these concerts he will be joined by longtime colleague and dear friend Yefim Bronfman for Johannes Brahms’ monumental Piano Concerto No. 2. The program will close with Maestro Ling leading the Orchestra in a performance of Jean Sibelius’ chillingly brilliant, awe-inspiring masterpiece, his Symphony No. 2.
