Thousands of San Diegans to celebrate Israel May 21

Jewish AcademySAN DIEGO, Calif. The Jewish Federation of San Diego County and community partners  announced their annual community event Wednesday to celebrate Yom Ha’atzmaut May 21 held at the San Diego Jewish Academy, , from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.

This is a free event to celebrate and educate the local community about Israel and her culture. The entire San Diego Jewish community is participating, including Friendship Circle of San Diego, which will be kicking off the day with the annual Friendship Walk at 12:30 p.m. to benefit children with special needs in San Diego and Israel.

The festival will include a free live music, entertainment, with local and special performances, Israeli folk dancing, a circus, kid’s activities, sports, teen programs, arts and crafts, games, a seniors club area, shopping and delicious kosher food!

The booths are back! This year organizers have partnered with many local organizations, synagogues and vendors to make this the best year yet. The Jewish Federation of San Diego County invites all to come together as a community on this day to show solidarity and celebrate Israel’s birthday.  Last year here were more than 5,000 attendees and expect more for Israel’s 69th!
