Calling all Sues! Meet Sue the T. rex for free

SueThe San Diego Natural History Museum is  calling all Sues to meet Sue the T. rex at the museum for free.

If you’re a Sue (or a variation of it), you’ll receive FREE admission into Animals: Machines in Motion from Monday, Dec. 5 through Sunday, Dec. 11.

One of the compelling and awe-inspiring features of the exhibition is a life-size replica of Sue, the largest and most complete Tyrannosaurus rex ever discovered. Sue—who lived about 68 million years ago—is 13 feet tall (and that’s just at the hip!), is 42 feet long, and has 58 dagger-like teeth.

Sue the T. rex got her nickname after paleontologist Sue Hendrickson discovered the dinosaur in the summer of 1990 during a commercial fossil hunting trip. The original Sue skeleton is on permanent display at The Field Museum in Chicago.

This limited engagement exhibition is here only through Jan. 2, and TheNat wants all the Sues out there to have a chance to see their Sue.

So grab a Sue and what do you do? Be sure to come in Dec. 5-11. Simply present your driver’s license or ID at the Admissions Deck. Kids can show anything that has their name, including a report card, school ID, etc.

And when you’re here, don’t forget to take a SueSelfie and use the hashtag #SueMeetSue.
