LYNCHBURG, Va.–Collateral Damage Project (CDP) announced its first official fundraising launch to raise critical funds to treat post-9/11 veterans suffering from life threatening mental health conditions including post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), traumatic brain injury (TBI), anxiety and depression. This four week intensive program is the first-of-its-kind to offer comprehensive treatment in a residential-like setting.
This is CDP’s first round of fundraising for this nationwide program. The goal is to raise $400,000.00 to cover veteran housing expenses for the first treatment facility that will be located in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains in Forest, Virginia.
“Collateral Damage Project uses a holistic way of treating the mental side effects that too often go untreated,” said Gen. William Boykin, Rt. Lt. Gen. U.S. Army. “This is doing something the government is never going to be able to do, and is the only way we’re ever going to be able to help our suffering servicemen and women.”
“Almost nobody is putting both the mind and the soul together while treating the mental health side of battle,” said Jeff Struecker, U.S. Army Ranger. “Collateral Damage Project is the only one offering this new approach to treatment that we so desperately need.”
“We want to take this program nationwide,” said Dr. Tim Barclay, president and CEO. “We found the property for our first facility, but we need your help to make this happen.”
We are proud of you. He who has health, has hope; and he who has hope, has everything. We want to take this program nationwide.
