Red Dress Party San Diego returns for a ‘Red & Wild’ night Oct. 8!

Red Dress PartySAN DIEGO, Calif. – Saturday, Oct. 8, Red Dress Party San Diego invites everyone to be brave, let loose, and become “Red & Wild” at the San Diego Natural History Museum in Balboa Park.

“We’re very excited to host this year’s event at such a grand venue with ‘Red & Wild’ as our new theme,” said Co-Founder Marvin Hanashiro. “We also have some stellar entertainment and surprises in store for this year’s attendees and can’t wait for everyone to revel in the celebration.”

Although Hanashiro wouldn’t reveal the surprises, Red Dress Party San Diego is billed as a night of music and dancing mixed with charity and fun to raise funds and awareness for organizations that serve the local HIV/AIDS community. All attendees are required to wear a red dress, regardless of gender identity or sexual orientation.

“This serves as a powerful sign of solidarity and compassion for all of us affected by HIV/AIDS and a way to unite the crowd in one radiant theme,” said Hanashiro.

“Not only do we have a new venue and theme for Red Dress Party San Diego 2016, but we also have a new goal,” said Co-Founder Steven Shyne. “We are continuing to work with amazing local and national sponsors and hope to have another sold out event, which will help us reach our new fundraising goal of $20,000 to benefit the San Diego HIV/AIDS community.”

Red Dress Party San Diego has named, for a second year in a row, the San Diego HIV Funding Collaborative (SDHFC) as the main beneficiary for the event. SDHFC has served as a funding and advisory resource for HIV/AIDS services in the San Diego region since 1990 and is currently chaired by the San Diego Human Dignity Foundation. All friends of SDHDF will receive an 8% discount on General Admission and VIP tickets when using the code SDHDF_RDP when you purchase tickets online!
