SAN DIEGO – Celebrate the first weekend of summer at the 9th annual Wine and Music Festival hosted by the Women’s Museum of California Friday, June 24 from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. at the North Promenade Lawn at NTC Liberty Station in Point Loma, San Diego.
Guests will enjoy summer sips, culinary delights and rockin’ performances by several live bands, playing groovy tunes and classic rhythms all night long. This year’s tasting options include special selections from San Diego’s favorite spots, including small plates from Solare Lounge and Banyan Kitchen, artisanal chocolate from Chi Chocolate and sweet delights from Addison’s Candies. Participants can pair their delicious eats with fine wines and craft brews from Barefoot Cellars, Ballast Point Brewery, and more!
WMFest musical line-up:
- San Diego Women’s Chorus (SDWC) is a lesbian-identified, feminist sisterhood of musicians that welcomes members and volunteers from the vastly diverse LGBTQ and straight-ally communities. They will be opening the show with a powerful original performance.
- Marissa Grace is a 13-year-old singer, songwriter and YouTube sensation from La Mesa, California. She is a local-celebrity, whose dream is to make a difference through positive and relevant music.
- Ruby Clouds is a So Cal band from Los Angeles whose dreamy sounds have serenaded audiences in the U.S. and Mexico for years.
- KodaSounds is an original rock band from San Diego, California. This group is all about instrument-driven music and creative vocal melodies.
- Marcela Mendez is the lead singer of San Diego based pop-rock cover band HoneyRock. Her acoustic music has been turning ears for several years with her soaring vocals and spicy personality.
WMFest is the museum’s only annual fundraiser. “It supports the cost of educational programming and original exhibits. By attending this event, you make our programs possible,” said Women’s Museum President Hannah Cohen.
