Philadelphia to host nation’s largest LGBTQ activist conference in 2017

WASHINGTON The National LGBTQ Task Force has announced that the 29th Creating Change Conference will take place  Jan 1822, 2017 at the Philadelphia Marriot Downtown. Over 4,000 lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer (LGBTQ) activists, community leaders and allies from across the country are expected to attend the conference in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

“Creating Change is the nation’s largest gathering of LGBTQ activists and allies. Since 1988, the conference has grown from 300 people to over 4,000 attendees. For more than a quarter century, we’ve trained over 40,000 activists and community leaders from across the country and elsewhere in the world,” said Russell Roybal, National LGBTQ Task Force deputy executive director. “Next year’s conference will be bigger and better. As we continue to advance and grow, we look forward to rolling out new changes and improvements. We encourage all who are able to attend to join us in Philadelphia!”
