One of the best acted, written and directed shows on TV, The Americans is still under-watched. You should rectify this in its fourth season. Keri Russell and Matthew Rhys star as Elizabeth and Philip Jennings, who appear to be mild-mannered travel agents in early 1980s Washington, D.C. but who are actually KGB agents under deep cover. They are in a constant cat-and-mouse game with the FBI, where their neighbor and good friend Stan Beeman (Noah Emmerich) works. Between various high speed chases, point-blank murders and low-tech spy craft, the Jennings are raising two children. For the first three seasons, the kids were clueless, but the elder daughter Paige (Holly Taylor) discovered her parents’ secret in last season’s finale – angry and confused, she told her pastor. The new season’s stakes are higher than ever.
