Selections from the Collection
This installation of the Museum’s permanent collection responds to the exhibition of paintings by Ed Ruscha, presenting works by his contemporaries as well as his influences. Highlighting the Museum’s commitment to California artists, this installation is grounded by the Los Angeles art scene that began in the 1960s. Artists such as Joe Goode, John Altoon, and Ed Moses all work in various modes of painting, while other artists such as Billy Al Bengston, Craig Kauffman, and Helen Pashgian focus on surface and material.

Carmen Lynch
