This week Republican presidential candidate Marco Rubio moved unashamedly further to the Christian Right with the formation of a religious liberty advisory board, which includes such notable anti-LGBT figures as megachurch pastor, Rick Warren, Kelly Fiedorek and Doug Napier, lawyers with the anti-LGBT Alliance Defending Freedom and others.
According to a report in The Advocate, Rubio underscores his faith in an ad that just debuted in Iowa, where voters will choose candidates in presidential caucuses February 1, and where the religious conservative vote is important for Republicans. “Our goal is eternity, the ability to live alongside our creator for all time,” he says in the ad. “To accept the free gift of salvation offered to us by Jesus Christ. The struggle on a daily basis as a Christian is to remind ourselves of this. The purpose of our life is to cooperate with God’s plan.”

What the right wing bigots are saying they want to accept the gift of.salvation offer by jesus Crist cooperate with god’splan
Ok if you believe in those stories if you believe there is.a man in the sky and if you believes in santa claus what I tell Christians not everyone believe.in your faire tales Christianity is a way to scare and control.the masses thats why Christianity eas form, all is a lie, Christians 10 commandment says you shall not kill Well how about Christians have kill more people than hitler and stalin and all in the name of God. God never give America nothing America is great because of his hard working people have not seen any evidence God give anything all this is fiction.
If there was a real benevolent god ehy is so many kids and familes in poverty so many illnesses I do not see God rush to help the neede either the bigoted republicans, they rush to cut the help to the poor just like God do yes.but we are CHRISTIANS
John,
the ten commandment is to reproduce and multiply with children, not you shall not kill. You need to know your Bible before you start attacking people on it. Secondly, you need English lessons because you sound like a 10 year old. Thirdly, the Bible tells everyone that God gave us free will to make our own decisions, but to follow His rules throughout life if we wish to go to heaven. Fourthly, Christainity is not killing people, people are killing people in the name of faith, which also, includes Islam as well. You need to learn more before commenting on anything. Marco Rubio is just saying that we all must follow God’s plan for ourselves and keep with the faith. He didn’t personally attack anyone, so back off on it!
Steve,
This is a lovely story! I had figured he was moving to the right, but did not think it would be so soon. I wonder what had changed his mind. Though, when taking in his message, I think he was speaking to everyone and not just the faithful, don’t you think?
