The San Diego Symphony’s very first Upright & Grand Piano Festival opens with performances of that most American of piano masterpieces, George Gershwin’s Rhapsody in Blue, as interpreted by acclaimed Canadian pianist Marc-André Hamelin. As a special treat, Mr. Hamelin will also play Maurice Ravel’s ingenious Piano Concerto for the Left Hand.
