Best-selling author and journalist Janet Mock stopped by Oprah Winfrey’s SuperSoul Sessions talk series Sunday at the University of California, Los Angeles. In the session, titled The Path of Authenticity — Embracing the Otherness, Mock talked about her transition into the woman she is today.
“I am proud of what I have been able to accomplish, but most importantly, I am proud that I can be a mirror for young girls,” she said at one point during her presentation. “A mirror that I didn’t have growing up.”
