President Obama spoke to the nation and the world this evening in the wake of the horrific terrorist attacks in Paris.
President Obama was briefed late Friday afternoon by his counter-terrorism adviser Lisa Monaco on a wave of attacks in Paris that has killed dozens, the White House said.
Hours before the attacks, Mr. Obama had spoken by phone with French President Francois Hollande about an upcoming climate summit to be held in Paris beginning on Nov. 30. Mr. Obama is planning to attend that gathering.
