Rain Dove the female androgynous model, kicked off New York Fashion Week (NYFW) at the Malan Breton Show with a striking and controversial pose flexing her muscles to show that women can be glamorous and physically strong at the same time.
This motion would normally get a model pulled from the runway, but it got her rousing cheers from the audience who loved her powerful stance. This is a powerful indication of how the face of fashion is changing.
Dove, who recently featured on the cover of San Diego LGBT Weekly (Aug. 20 issue 180) is the female androgynous/a-gender model and humanitarian who is taking the fashion world by storm. She models all forms of human expression, both binary (menswear and womenswear) and non-binary looks, and truly turns the concept of gender on its head.
