The first spinoff of AMC’s wildly popular zombie apocalypse soap opera The Walking Dead, Fear the Walking Dead focused on the first few weeks of the zombie epidemic that is in full swing when the original show started. The publicists don’t want us to call it a prequel, but it clearly is. Set in Los Angeles, the show focuses on high school guidance counselor Madison (Kim Dickens), her English teacher fiancé Travis (Cliff Curtis), Madison’s children Nick (Frank Dillane) and Alicia (Alycia Debnam-Carey), and Tarvis’ son Chris (Lorenzo James Henrie) as they try to survive the chaos of dead people wandering around trying to eat living people. And so on. Like The Walking Dead, Fear will be intense, violent, heroic and probably a bit depressing.
