The Association of Professional Flight Attendants (APFA) is upset over Jennifer Aniston’s decision to become a brand ambassador for Emirates, the biggest airline in the Middle East.

It’s believed that she has already shot an ad for the company in a deal rumored to be worth $5million for the Friends actress, reports Gay Star News.

In a statement, Boutros Boutros, Emirates’ Divisional SVP for Corporate Communications, Marketing & Brand, said: “We can confirm that we are working with Ms Jennifer Aniston on a global digital and television campaign. We do not wish to discuss contract details, and more information about the campaign will be unveiled in due course.”

Commenting on the arrangement, Laura Glading, Association of Professional Flight Attendants (APFA) National President, told Gay Star Business: ‘APFA has serious concerns about the way the Gulf carriers treat and manage their flight crews, particularly women and gay men.

‘Regressive legal systems and cultural norms make the work experience in countries like the UAE very different from those in western democracies.

‘We hope that Ms. Aniston will fully evaluate Emirates employment policies before lending her name and celebrity to the brand.’
