SAN DIEGO –The Gay Lesbian Straight Education Network (GLSEN) of San Diego County wants you to know that raising money for a good cause is a laughing matter! Join GLSEN for a night of laughter and help create safe schools for all at their annual Comedy Fundraiser! The hilarity will go down, Friday, July 31 at the Diversionary Theatre, 4545 Park Blvd. This 21 and up event begins with a wine and cheese reception at 7 p.m. followed by a night of stand-up comedy performed by some of San Diego’s top comedians starting at 8 p.m.

GLSEN San Diego Co-Chair and comedian Chet Sewell is back again as your host with the most. This year’s lineup of comedians who are sure to keep you rolling in the aisles are: Sarah Burford, Tony Calabrese, Jennifer Congernaum, Steve Heyl, and Leah Mansfield.
This event is part of celebrating 25 years of GLSEN being a strong presence in support of LGBT teachers and students throughout the country.
All proceeds from the event will go towards supporting area high school Gay Straight Alliances, GLSEN San Diego’s Jump-Start Student Leadership Team, safe school trainings for teachers, staff, and administrators, and providing schools with inclusive curriculum.
