Daniel’s Market Food Bank returns to Being Alive HIV/AIDS Services San Diego

Being Alive HIV/AIDS Services San Diego has announced the return of Daniel’s Market Food Bank.
The  Mobile Market will be held one day a month on the first Friday of the month, June 5, 2015 at the Walgreen’s parking lot, 301 University (across from Urban Mo’s) from 9 to 11 a.m.
“Daniel’s Pantry has been an integral part of the community for the last 20 years.  When Being Alive moved to a smaller location two months ago, we did not anticipate the number of calls we would receive from clients — more than 30 a day-seeking food assistance.  Thanks to Walgreens, The San Diego Food Bank and other community partners, we will be able to provide “Daniels Outdoor Market”– a much needed resource for our community members who struggle to have enough to eat,” states Shannon Wagner, executive director.
Daniel’s Market will provide canned goods, fresh fruits and vegetables, bread and meat items.  The food bank is open to all clients of Being Alive San Diego.  Clients are asked to bring their own bags.  Volunteers of all capacities are needed to help make this a successful event.
To volunteer contact Terry Summers at 619-291-1400 x313.   For more information  visit www.beingalive.org, like Being Alive on Facebook and follow them on Twitter. Due to the 4th of July holiday, the July Market will be  Thursday July 2 at the above times and location.
