A Republican North Dakota legislator, Randy Boehning, was caught with his pants down on Grindr, the male hook-up site. Boehning’s handle was Top Man! when he had an encounter with Dustin Smith. Smith, an out gay man, identified Boehning when his picture appeared in a story about North Dakota legislators who voted against LGBT equality legislation.
“I’m sure I’ve talked to this person before,” Smith told The Washington Post in a telephone interview from his home in Bismarck, N.D. “Suddenly it dawned on me: I think I’ve seen this guy on Grindr!” Smith saw a lot more than Boehning’s face on Grindr, he also had what is known as the dick pic, a picture of the Republican legislator’s penis. Boehning told Smith he was “always horny.” Boehning has subsequently admitted that he is gay.
This is just the latest in self-hating behavior exhibited by some in the LGBT community. Boehning justifies his vote against pro-LGBT legislation in North Dakota by suggesting he had problems with the language in the bill and that he was accurately representing his constituents. Hey Boehning, what about representing your constituents on Grindr?
