Save the date: April 30 is ninth annual ‘Dining Out for Life San Diego’

San Diego’s ninth annual Dining Out For Life® event, which allows everyone to help raise funds for the San Diego LGBT Community Center’s HIV/AIDS programs by simply dining out for breakfast, lunch and/or dinner at participating restaurants, takes place Thursday, April 30.

More than 75 participating San Diego restaurants, bars, coffee shops and ice cream shops will donate 25-100 percent of their food and liquor sales from that day including a record number of locations donating 50 percent.

Supporting HIV/AIDS services and prevention programs at The San Diego LGBT Community Center is vitally important as more than 20,000 San Diegans are living with HIV/AIDS. All funds raised locally will support HIV/AIDS services and prevention programs at The San Diego LGBT Community Center, including the #BeTheGeneration campaign, a strategic and comprehensive effort to end new HIV transmissions in the next decade. By educating San Diegans about groundbreaking new HIV treatment and testing options, as well as combatting the stigma surrounding HIV/AIDS, this campaign is working to reduce the number of new cases of HIV in San Diego to zero by 2024.
