Key LGBTQ resource providers and 2-1-1 San Diego have begun planning the launch of an LGBTQ resource navigation line. This discussion will take place over the next several months with the end goal being a line staffed by specialists who are not only knowledgeable of available resources, but are also keenly aware of the particular vulnerabilities and barriers to access that are so often faced by individuals and families within the LGBTQ community, especially those seeking HIV treatment and services.
Please join LGBTQ community leaders for a dual purpose happy-hour Friday, April 17, 5:00- 9:00 p.m., on the fifth floor of the Double Tree by Hilton Hotel San Diego Downtown, 1646 Front Street in San Diego. A short program and remarks will be made at 7:00 p.m.
Not only will this vital new service be announced and celebrated at this event, but it is also a fundraiser for Tim Caudill, one of the three assault victims from the February attack at the Eagle San Diego. All funds raised from the raffle of gift certificates and the specialty cocktail menu will be donated to help with Tim’s expenses.
