Blatino Oasis, California’s largest gay and bisexual men of color vacation getaway, is gearing up for its annual celebration in Palm Springs, Calif. May 1-3.
With nine years under its belt, Blatino Oasis is the first event to successfully bring gay men of color to the city of Palm Springs on an annual basis, and has become the largest annual event targeting gay men of color in California, attracting well over 1,000 attendees. Event Producer Joe Hawkins, said that he couldn’t be happier about the growth of Blatino Oasis. ” I am especially happy to see so many smiling faces during our event and appreciate the local and national support that we are starting to receive from sponsors. This year I am happy to welcome back Get Tested Coachella Valley, social media app JACK’D, and Wet Lubrication as Presenting Sponsors. The National Minority AIDS Council (NMAC), Silver Car, and Thugmart,among others, supported at the GOLD level. The three day event (May 1-3), features a plethora of gay men of color models, dancers, and entertainers. Activities include a Friday May 1, welcome reception at Hacienda Cantina & Beach Club, Friday night dance party at COPA Room, Saturday daytime Pool Party at the CCBC Hotel in Cathedral City, Saturday night “MEGA DANCE & POOL PARTY” at CCBC Hotel, and Sunday Awards Brunch at Tropicale Restaurant, featuring singer Steven Plater and more.
The two nighttime dance events feature world class Deejays to include Dj Angel X of NYC, Dj 6PAC of San Francisco and Dj Konrad Parker of West Hollywood, spinning hip hop, r&b, house, Latin Pop, reaggae, reggaeton and top 40,
