VisitIndy.com highlights Indianapolis’ hospitality to all

Yesterday, visitindy.com added a new graphic to its website to highlight that it welcomes everyone to the city of the Indianapolis. While the nation has been focused upon the issues surrounding the Religious Freedom Restoration Act passed in Indiana last week, it gets lost that many of the citizens of Indiana are fair-minded welcoming people.

On the heels of Indianapolis Mayor Greg Ballard signing an Executivie Order underscoring that all businesses must abide by the human rights ordinance which bans LGBT discrimination in the city, visitindy.com debuted its new graphic welcoming LGBT people. Morgan Greenlee, Senior Communications Manager at Visit Indy, said “Indianapolis has a worldwide reputation for its hospitality.” The new graphic debuted on Monday but the information and the LGBT Guide to Indy has been on the website for over 4 years. “We roll out the red carpet to all who come to Indy,” Greenlee added.

  1. We know that there are many friendly people in Indiana that either are LGBTs or straights that support LGBTs. We just need to see them protest against this awful discrimination law and frankly, many businesses that provide jobs and money to Indiana citizens need to see the governor either fix or reject the law.
