The two-hour final episode of the once-groundbreaking, then nationally joked about and finally begrudgingly respected musical comedy about a high school show choir arrives after a strangely brilliant final season. Almost all of the plot threads were tied up by last week’s episode. A double gay wedding put Kurt and Blaine and Britney and Santana together. The latest iteration of the club won sectionals and secured their place in the school. Rachel decided to return to college instead of taking a role on Broadway. And evil cheerleading coach Sue Sylvester seems to have been punished and redeemed at the same time. The finale will be a flashback to the time just before the first season and will feature a tear-jerking tribute to Finn, who was played by Cory Monteith, who died of a heroin overdose in 2013. I have a box of tissues set aside for Friday night.
