Anthemic indie pop act The Score have released a new track titled “Catching Fire” on the heels of their initial track “Oh My Love.” Originally from New York City and now based in Los Angeles, The Score are comprised of songwriting producers Eddie Anthony and Edan Dover. Fittingly, the transcontinental favorites will keep fans and listeners tuned by keeping their vocals at the heart of the track, only embracing their memorable instrumentals to bring “Catching Fire” full circle. More information on The Score and each of their previous releases is available on the band’s official website.
Having built their lives in New York City, Eddie (vocals/guitar) and Edan (keyboards/production) cut their teeth at the famed Rockwood Music Hall, where the story began for acts such as Lady Gaga and Mumford & Sons. Anthony and Dover then set their sights on sunny California.
The Score quickly gained a following upon their move to the West Coast. Plays on their first track, “Oh My Love,” have been skyrocketing on SoundCloud – the band currently has over 160,000 plays on the track in just one month of being released. “Oh My Love” is also trending on the Indie section of SoundCloud – currently sitting at the #5 position. The attention attracted placements with Starbucks, Abercrombie and Hollister and a shot at the Macy’s Rising Star. “Oh My Love” was also recently included to play in Starbucks stores nationwide. Other recognitions for The Score include critical acclaim by Perez Hilton as new music to watch, entry into the John Lennon Songwriting Contest finals, and more than 2 million combined plays on SoundCloud and YouTube.
