Since the launch of The People’s Brief, a diverse group of prominent celebrities, athletes, entertainers and politicians have stood up in support of nationwide marriage equality, writes Hayley Miller on the HRC Blog.
The People’s Brief is an unprecedented effort by HRC to give every American a chance to share their support of marriage equality directly with the Supreme Court of the United States.
More than 20 celebrities have signed onto The People’s Brief, including Ellen DeGeneres, Mario Batali, Matt Bomer, Billy Porter, Bree Turner, Perez Hilton, Jason Collins, Carla Hall, Jeffrey Tambor, Donna Brazille, Cory Booker, Robbie Rogers and Maria Bello.
By going to ThePeoplesBrief.org, LGBT Americans as well as their friends, family members, coworkers and other allies can review the contents of the brief and affix their name to a document that will be entered into the record and be a part of American history.
