Compton school official ordered to trial for oral copulation

Skyy de Anthony Fisher

A Compton school board member was ordered Dec. 3 to stand trial for committing oral copulation of his straight male friend while he was asleep while they were staying in a San Diego hotel.

The 26-year-old friend testified against Skyy de Anthony Fisher, 31, who remains a controversial member of the Compton school board who has refused to resign after being charged.

The witness, referred to only as Steve in the preliminary hearing, testified following a grant of immunity from prosecution after he acknowledged hiring a female prostitute and driving while smoking marijuana in San Diego.

Steve told San Diego Superior Court Judge Amalia Meza that he invited Fisher to come down to San Diego with him April 4.

Steve said Fisher paid for the room with two beds at the Keating Hotel at 432 F Street. Steve said Fisher was drinking rum and other alcoholic drinks, and had drinks at clubs and bars in the Gaslamp District before returning to the hotel.

“He said something weird to me: ‘No jacking off’” when both men were lying down in separate beds, said Steve.

“Are you gay?” Steve said he asked Fisher.

“Why would you think that?” answered Fisher, according to Steve, before Fisher denied he was gay.

Steve said after Fisher fell asleep, he located a Web site on his computer that featured prostitutes, and met a woman who came to his hotel room. Steve said he paid her $80 for having sexual intercourse with him for 15 minutes.

After the woman left, Steve fell asleep, but he said he woke up around 6 a.m. and discovered “him giving me oral sex.” He said his penis was erect even though he was asleep at the time.

“Once I woke up to what he was doing, he stopped what he was doing and he hopped back into bed,” said Steve, adding that Fisher pretended to be asleep.

“I couldn’t understand what was going on. I was very angry and confused,” said Steve.

Steve testified his boxers were missing and he could not locate them in the room. He said it was strange because he remembered wearing his boxers even while having sex with the prostitute. “I searched for them,” he said.

Steve testified he packed up most of his belongings and went downstairs to get the car he had rented for the trip. He said Fisher came down to the lobby and asked him, “Are you gonna have somebody beat me up?”

“Why did you do that to me?” Steve said he asked Fisher.

“What do you mean? We’re drunk,” replied Fisher, according to Steve.

Steve testified he punched Fisher and left him behind. He called San Diego Police and underwent a Sexual Assault Response Team (SART) exam. “It was the most uncomfortable thing I’d ever had in my life. I was embarrassed,” said Steve, who said he was straight.

April 18, police officials had Steve call Fisher in a recorded phone call. “He admitted to what he did and apologized. He told me he hid my boxers because it was a prank,” said Steve.

Police criminalist David Cornacchia testified about the results of the SART exam. He said the salvia found on Steve’s penis matched the DNA of Fisher.

Fisher is free on $100,000 bond. He has pleaded not guilty and will get a trial date set Dec. 17.
