Winning Marriage: San Diego Book Launch Event with Marc Solomon
The Center, Freedom to Marry and Equality California invite the community to a special book launch event for Marc Solomon’s Winning Marriage. In the book, Solomon shares with readers the strategy-setting and decision making tables in the campaign to win and protect the freedom to marry. He reveals the inner-workings of the advocacy movement that has championed and protected advances won in legislative, legal and electoral battles over the decade since the landmark Massachusetts ruling that gave same-sex couples the right to marry for the first time. The event will be held at The Center and will include a presentation by Solomon, appetizers and refreshments.

Patrick Berrogain
Born in the south of France, Patrick Berrogain’s foray into the music world began at the age of 14 when he bought his first guitar with money he made from summer jobs. In 1984, Patrick decided to follow his dream to study jazz in America. He enrolled in the Musician’s Institute where he honed his jazz guitar skills from the likes of Joe Di’Orio and Scott Henderson. Simultaneously he studied composition and arranging at the Dick Groove School of Music. He graduated with special mention from the Institute in ’85. It was at the school where he met his good friend Peter Sprague, with whom he studied nylon string guitar. With Peter’s encouragement, Patrick moved to San Diego where he has lived for the past two decades.

Lindsey Stirling and Mat Kearney
Lindsey Stirling is one of the biggest artist development breakthrough stories in recent years. A classically trained violinist from Gilbert, AZ, Lindsey has entered a futurist world of electronic big beats and animation, leaping through the music industry with over half a billion views on YouTube, Billboard chart-topping hits and sold out tours worldwide. Lindsey’s self-titled debut album featured twelve original tracks; including the viral smash “Crystallize,” which has racked up over 90 million YouTube views. Mat Kearney was born in Eugene, Oregon and is now based in Nashville, Tennessee. Kearney has received critical acclaim and widespread recognition for his Columbia Records debut, Nothing Left to Lose. So far, he has a total of five top 20 hits on the Adult Top 40 Chart.
