Thursday, Sept. 25 at 12:30 p.m., “Concerned Students” will stage a second rally in front of San Diego State University’s Hepner Hall to protest against SDSU’s lack of action in the fight against sexual violence happening on their campus and also to call for Gov. Brown to sign the new ‘Yes Means Yes’ legislation.
With a march to Manchester Hall, students plan to deliver a list of demands to President Elliot Hirshman’s office. These demands warrant an explanation as to what is being done on campus regarding the issue. The list calls out President Hirshman himself, the Title IX Coordinator Jessica Rentto, and the Sexual Violence Task Force. “Concerned Students” are calling for an increase in transparency and urgency in the work supposedly being done by these three.
