TORONTO — Saturday, June 14, smart owners from the Greater Toronto Area gathered to welcome the world to Toronto and mark the onset of WorldPride 2014, which starts today in Toronto, Ontario and runs to June 29.
This exclusive by invitation-only event was orchestrated by smart Canada, and was open to smart fortwo owners, as well as car2go members. Over 65 smart fortwo drivers rendezvoused at the Canadian National Exhibition grounds, where they were given pride-themed window flags and bumper stickers with which to adorn their vehicles. The vehicles then departed as a convoy and traveled north on the Don Valley Parkway to the Mercedes-Benz Canada Head Office in Midtown Toronto. The rally concluded with a barbecue lunch in celebration of the upcoming WorldPride festivities.
