A Hillcrest man was attacked on Christmas Eve by a group of men wielding baseball bats and shouting anti-gay slurs.
The attack happened in the early hours of Christmas Eve, on First Avenue near Robinson, leaving Dwayne Wynn with a broken eye socket and three cracked ribs.
Wynn, who believes he was targeted because he is gay, told 10News, “I’ve never been that scared in my entire life. I literally thought I was
going to die. I thought they were going to kill me. They were beating me that bad.”
San Diego Police have little to go on as Wynn was not able to get a description of his attackers or their vehicle.
