In January, three of the youngest working, openly-gay comedians today are hitting the road as The Young Hot and Gay Tour. All in their mid-twenties, Heather Turman, Jordan Pease and Tara Egnatios are bringing fresh, cutting-edge humor across the country, and along the way showing the world what this generation of ‘gay’ is!
In thirty-days and in twelve different cities, The Young Hot and Gay Tour, plans to not only bring the laughs, but also to partake in outreach events at LGBT Centers across the nation – all while filming it for a documentary.
The tour is hosting a fundraising event at Martinis Above Fourth Table + Stage in San Diego Thursday, Dec. 12, at 7:30 p.m. Tickets for the event are $10, which include performances from all tour members. Raffle tickets will be available for purchase to enter into drawings for dozens of prizes, which include everything from personal training sessions to tanning packages. The money raised will help to fund the documentary.
The fundraiser is being hosted by Mikey Scott and Teddy Margas, two of Southern California’s favorite gay comics. Their Los Angeles show, The Mikey and Teddy Comedy Hour is one of the city’s most popular weekly events.
About the tour members: Jordan Pease is a national touring comedian and author of two books, Accidentally OK and Don’t Let Me Go. He recently starred alongside Jamie Kennedy in Bro What Happened, and can be seen in his underwear in an American Apparel ad. Heather Turman is a regular performer at Madhouse Comedy Club in Downtown San Diego, as well as Flapper’s Comedy Club in Burbank. She can be seen on Nuvo TV’s Stand Up and Deliver and the DVD special, The Gay List. Tara Egnatios graduated from UCLA Law School and then instead of taking the BAR she took to the stage and has since become a favorite in the comedy community. She was a finalist in The Laugh Factory’s prestigious Laugh-Bowl, contest as well as a nominee for Producer’s Choice for The LA Comedy Awards.
