Today, The LGBT Veteran’s Wall of Honor Committee announced that the 2013 Benjamin F. Dillingham and Bridget Wilson Veteran’s Wall of Honor Induction Ceremony will be Thursday, Nov. 7 at 5:30 pm at The San Diego LGBT Community Center, 3909 Centre. Street in Hillcrest.
This year the committee will be honoring LGBT veterans who have given so much for their country and for the cause of LGBT equality. The ceremony will include the singing of the national anthem by Internet sensation Patrick Hammond and a brief presentation honoring each inductee.
The Veteran’s Wall of Honor Committee also announced a new award – the Donna Johnson Equality and Valor Award to honor her memory and sacrifice for the United States and for equality.
A reception with refreshments will follow the ceremony.
