Halloween is here! And nobody likes to party in costume more than the LGBT community. For decades we have donned the looks of Cher, Madonna, Lady Gaga – you name it – and we do it better than everyone else (I should know; I was Madonna circa Blonde Ambition one year, cone-bra and everything)! Tell a LGBT person they can’t enter the party without a costume, and within minutes they’ll present an award-worthy ensemble, the exact replica of whatever icon is “in” at the moment. We love to dress up – and let’s face it, we’re freakin’ good at it.
However, what about LGBT couples? You sure don’t see many creative same-sex couple’s costumes out there. In truth, it’s probably because there simply aren’t that many options. But with Proposition 8 being overturned this year, we’re going to need to start coming up with great costumes not only for our LGBT selves, but for our LGBT partners, too.
So let’s extend a challenge – instead of looking fabulous on your own this year, dress up with your other half and let’s see what you got! Send a picture to editor@lgbtweekly.jeffjungblut.com showing us your costume masterpieces, and the best and most creative duo will win a $75 gift card for Mo’s. Runner-up will get a $25 gift card. Be sure to send your picture by Oct. 17, and may the best beau/belle win!
How to enter
To enter the Halloween Costume Contest, submit your photo to editor@lgbtweekly.jeffjungblut.com by Oct. 17. Please include: Name; Costume Title; Photo.
Vertically orientated photos are preferred. A resolution of 460 pixels wide by 595 pixels high is preferable. Photos may be cropped if they fail to meet the image size recommendations. Photos must be in a JPEG format and can be no larger than 5MB.
All entries will be reviewed and judged by San Diego LGBT Weekly staff. Subject to approval, entries will be published in the Halloween issue of LGBT Weekly (Oct. 24) and on LGBTweekly.com
Contest rules
This promotion is open to residents of the United States (including its territories and possessions) only; no submissions from outside of the U.S. will be accepted. This promotion is open to contestants aged 18 years and older. Costume photos may not include non-participants who have not consented to their inclusion in the contest.

You really make it appear so easy together with your presentation but I find this matter to be actually something that I feel I would never understand. It sort of feels too complicated and extremely large for me. I am looking forward on your next submit, I’ll try to get the hold of it!
