Michael Schur and Dan Goor, two of the people behind Parks & Recreation, have created a police station workplace comedy that exists somewhere between Barney Miller and The Office. It’s a vehicle for Saturday Night Live’s Andy Samburg, and he’s doing his schtick: wacky manboy. But it is also promised to be an ensemble show, and that includes the stereotype-destroying character of Captain Ray Holt, the uptight black and gay precinct chief played by the great Andre Braugher. I haven’t seen it yet, but the early reviews are rapturous.
