The first annual 2013 San Diego Leather Fetish Ball will be held Oct. 5 from 6:30- 11:30 p.m. at Claire de Lune’s Sunset Temple, 3911 Kansas Street in San Diego. Sales will benefit the Ben Dillingham Grant, which provides financial assistance for medical and burial expenses for the LGBT community, the Harvey Milk Scholarship Fund and The Leather Foundation.
Robert Rodriguez, Mr. San Diego Eagle 2013, vowed his time and dedication in helping and organizing fundraisers for multiple charities in the greater San Diego Community during his reign. Amongst several other successful fundraisers put on during 2013, Rodriguez is determined to make this an annual event for the Leather Community “where people of all genders and sexualities can enjoy a night of fabulous entertainment, choice music and, of course, a love for leather and gear fetishes.”
The classic Sunset Temple is an untapped gem with a capacity to hold more than 250 people in its main hall with a 20 feet high ceiling.
Entertainment for the evening will consist of gymnast and aerialist Travis Spackman of Aerial Revolution performing erotic silk acrobatics center stage. Also performing will be the gender bending drag diva Glitz Glam from Urban Mo’s, known for her outrageous costumes during her Freak Friday events.
“My focus for this event is to help raise funds for these fine charities, all while giving the leather and fetish communities of San Diego a place to enjoy an evening where everyone can dress to the nines in their best leather formals,” stated Rodriguez.
“Please join us for an evening of fabulous entertainers, choice music and of course, love for leather. We look to make the 2013 San Diego Leather Fetish Ball a pansexual event where everyone can celebrate all genders and sexualities, leather and fetish gear, and honor our deeply diverse tribes of San Diego, Long Beach, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Palm Springs and surrounding cities.”
Robert Rodriguez is 2013‘s Mr. San Diego Eagle. He began this event in the hope that it will continue to help organizations throughout the San Diego community for years to come. He appreciates the community’s support and hopes everyone will support this event annually.
