Oregon United for Marriage announced today that they have the petitions in hand and are ready to move forward with the “Oregon Says I Do” campaign to collect the 116,284 signatures necessary to put on the ballot in November 2014 a measure that would strike Ballot Measure 36 and replace it with pro-marriage equality language.
Starting tomorrow, Oregon United campaign staff and volunteers will spread out across every part of the state making sure supporters of marriage equality have the opportunity to be part of this historic campaign. If successful, Oregon will be the first state to repeal a state constitutional ban on marriage equality.
