Put on your cowboy boots and hat and get ready for the second annual Wrangler Weekend L.A. over the Labor Day weekend – and it’s all for a great cause.
The series of events will kick off Thursday, Aug. 29, with free admission to the Boots & Briefs Party at Oil Can Harry’s, 11502 Ventura Blvd., Studio City.
Friday, Aug. 30, classes, including two-step, waltz, shadow and West Coast Swing, will be offered at the Beverly Garland Holiday Inn, 4222 Vineland Ave., North Hollywood, which is also the host hotel for Wrangler Weekend L.A.
Friday night, a TGIF Welcome Dance will be held at Oil Can Harry’s.
A full day of line dance classes will be offered again Saturday, Aug. 31, at the Beverly Garland Holiday Inn.
The WWLA Hoedown Dance will be held Saturday night in the ballroom at the Beverly Garland Holiday Inn.
Sunday, Sept. 1, enjoy an outdoor brunch/courtyard dance at the Beverly Garland.
Step back into the past Sunday afternoon, with the Rawhide Retro Country Beer Bust at Rawhide, where dancers used to kick up their heels for years every Sunday afternoon. Rawhide, which is now Club Cobra, is located at 10937 Burbank Blvd., North Hollywood.
Proceeds from WWLA will benefit Life Group L.A., a coalition of people dedicated to the education, empowerment and emotional support of persons both infected and affected by HIV/AIDS so that they may make informed choices and decisions regarding their healthcare and personal well being.
A pass for all dances and classes is $89.
