38th Annual Nicky Awards: Aug. 25

The 38th Annual Nicky Awards – San Diego’s Gay Academy Awards – will be held Aug 25 at the Marriott Mission Valley, 8757 Rio San Diego Drive, in San Diego.

Launching the sponsorship drive for the event, Allan Spyere, chair of the board of governors 38th Annual Nicky Awards said, “This will be an evening of glamour, celebration and great entertainment. On behalf of the 2013 Nicky’s board of governors, we thank you for your support of the San Diego LGBT community and look forward to hearing from you soon!”

The Nicky’s include nominations, voting and awards ceremony.

Sponsorship opportunities include product, cash, or a combination of product/cash with three levels of sponsorship: Platinum: $5,000, Gold: $2,500, and Silver: $1,000. Company/product logos will receive multiple exposures across the San Diego LGBT community from the beginning of July through the end of August.

Beneficiaries for the evening are The LGBT Center and the Imperial Court programs. The organizers goal is to have the evening of the 2013 Nicky Awards paid for in full before the event.

Nominations: May 30 – June 30. The nomination party will happen at Martinis above Fourth July 8 at 7 p.m. Voting parties will happen Aug. 9/10 at multiple locations to be announced. Online voting will take place from July 15-Aug. 15.
