SDGMC: call for auditions 2013 (VIDEO)

SAN DIEGO – Open auditions for the San Diego Gay Men’s Chorus (SDGMC) are Tuesday, April 23 and Sunday, April 28 preceeded by “Info Night”  Monday, April 22 at 7 p.m. Both auditions and “Info Night” take place at the SDGMC rehearsal space at the University Christian Church, 3900 Cleveland Ave. in Hillcrest.

Everyone is invited whether to sing or volunteer for a non-singing role in SDGMC’s behind-the-scenes operations group. Auditions are for the SDGMC July concert, Feelin’ Groovy and December holiday show. Anyone interested in joining is also encouraged to see the upcoming SDGMC spring show Rocket Man – The Music of Elton John.

The SDGMC has entertained San Diego audiences for nearly 30 years. With more than 150 members, it is one of the largest choruses of its type in the world. The group’s official mission is to create a positive musical experience through exciting performances that engage audiences, build community support and provide a dynamic force for social change.
