In a symbolic gesture of bringing City elected officials out to the neighborhood Mayor-elect Bob Filner’s inauguration ceremony will be held Monday, Dec. 3 10 a.m. at the Balboa Park Club, 2144 Pan American Road West in Balboa Park.
Later that same day five community inaugural celebrations will take place across the city giving Filner the opportunity to reach out to the neighborhoods.
“This is Bob’s way of saying thank you to the people of San Diego and bringing his administration out to the people on the first day,” said Linda Perine, co-chair for Neighborhood Participation.
The community inaugural ceremonies are open to all and will take place at the following locations and times:
