The mentally ill should not be trusted with weapons. The poor usually wind up excessively serving in the military over the rich who can buy their way out of service. Homosexuals can enlist if they have th desire. The officer was talking about actively recruiting them. His job is to get the best soldiers for the military as he can get. That is part of his job description. He was doing just that .LGBT seems to be going out of its way to get publicity.
