Anti-LGBT speakers line up to speak at hate group conference

The list of anti-LGBT speakers lining up to speak at the Family Research Council’s (FRC) Values Voter Summit next week is growing longer and longer.

Among the confirmed speakers are included such anti-LGBT favorites as GOP vice presidential nominee Paul Ryan, Rep. Michele Bachmann, former Sen. Rick Santorum and president of the American Family Association Tim Wildmon, to name a few.

The summit takes place in Washington Sept. 14-16 and is sponsored in part by the American Family Association and Liberty University.

The FRC has been labeled a hate group by the Southern Poverty Law Center. It’s a group that has advocated for the criminalization of homosexuality, called for LGBT people to be exported from the U.S., and has pushed dangerous lies trying to link being gay to pedophilia.

  1. Funny, the already-discredited use of language in this article is. Following FRC, which never once aimed a gun at any homosexual, being shot up by a gay radical, the LGBT now seems to fit the definition of a “hate group” better than those they label as hate groups. Especially telling is that the only criterion for being labeled a “hate group” is “you less than 100% agree with everything we say.” How fascist.

    1. IvanRider, The FRC does not point guns at homosexuals. They just encourage other people to commit violent acts, using scare tactics, bizarre conspiracy theories (see this week’s latest Avi Lapkin paranoid rant) and inflammatory rhetoric.
