San Diego LGBT Pride has announced the addition of Alex Newell, who plays transgender character “Unique/Wade” on the hit show Glee, to its entertainment line-up. Newell will also take part in the Pride parade.
Other new entertainment additions to the America’s Pride celebration July 20 – 22 are: Sandra Bernhard, Wynter Gordon, Justin Utley and Neon Hitch.
“We are excited to announce these additions to the Pride weekend lineup. Not only are these performers popular and high energy, but it is particularly exciting that several of them come from the LGBT community,” said San Diego Pride executive director, Dwayne Crenshaw. “Our team is hard at work to make this an amazing Pride celebration for all.”
